Like the eleventh hole, the sixteenth has many teeing grounds. From the Championship tees this is a long hole, requiring another straight drive but from the forward tees the hole opens up and presents itself in front of you. Bunkers approaching and surrounding the green must be avoided with a green which appears much smaller than it is, putting a great emphasis on distance control.
