Chris Whittle, Course Manager, who joined the club in 1994 having supervised the Muirfield links for six years, leads the green keeping staff.
Unless personally introduced as a member's guest, visitors must make a reservation and obtain a starting time prior to arrival. Reservations may be made by telephone, letter, fax or email to the Secretary's Office. Handicap Certificates will be required from all visiting golfers. Whilst visitors are encouraged, they must respect restricted tee-off times. Corporate, Society and Prestige golf days are programmed to take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Corporate/Society Golf Days
Corporate/Society golf days can be designed to meet a wide range of requirements for groups of 16-72 golfers. We are pleased to offer facilities for reception, lunch, golf and dinner specifically to suit the needs of individual organizations and groups.
The Club will be happy to provide you with a personalised voucher for a round of golf, which will make an ideal and extremely welcome gift for any enthusiastic golfer. We can send it to you or direct to the recipient with any message that you require. Please contact the Secretary's office to discuss your requirements
Private tuition is available from the Professional or his Assistants, which can easily be arranged. The Professional can also quote for video tuition and golf clinics. The Pro Shop is well stocked for all your golfing needs.

On the course - smart attire is essential, golf shoes are to be worn; smart tailored shorts may be worn with knee length socks or short socks; sports shorts and combat/cargo shorts are not permitted.
In the clubhouse - smart casual wear is accepted in the Spike Bar and the Mixed Lounge. Denim jeans, tracksuits, T-shirts and training shoes, for example are not permitted either in the Clubhouse or on the golf course. Waterproof clothing is not acceptable in the Clubhouse apart from in the changing areas. A jacket and tie is required in the dining room after 7.00pm.
Use of a ride-on buggy is restricted to visitors who have a genuine incapacity to play golf unless aided by the use of the buggy. Limited ride-on buggies are available to rent. Anyone wishing to use a buggy on the course should apply in writing to the Secretary via email@example.com.
